Santa Fe, NM’s Custom Craft Auto Collision Q & A Aug. 2018
Custom Craft has built one of the best auto repair businesses in New Mexico throughout the years and recently moved into a beautiful new facility to cement its place as the most advanced repair shop in the state. Below co-owner Andrew Gallegos tells us a little more about the new facility, located off Rt 14 on the south side of Santa Fe.
1. How long have you been in your new building? How long did it take?
We have been in our new building for 1 month, while it 2 1/2 years to build including permitting
2. What does the new facility allow you to do that your old one didn’t?
A better quality of repair because now we have the latest technology in tooling, repair procedures and certified technicians to perform the repairs
3. Tell us about some of the technology you’ve invested in?
We are the only repair facility in state utilizing the Wedgeclamp floor system. We have computerized measuring systems with the capability of printing out before and after documentation to verify that the vehicle is back to OEM standards. We do all of our own mechanical repair and wheel alignment with the latest equipment from Hunter Engineering.
And as for refinishing, we are the only shop in the Southwest using the REVO Speed curing system by Global Refinish systems. REVO Speed uses short wave, electric infrared curing technology to offer the fastest curing time in the industry for both prep and paint processes. It shortens repair cycle time and significantly reduces rework.
4. What can you do that other auto repair shops in town can’t?
A proper repair for the customer ensuring the safety intergrity of their vehicle back to OEM standards while also protecting their vehicle’s value.
5. Anything else you want to add?
